Greyhounds Top Hunters to Open New Home

Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The Duluth East girls' swimming and diving team beat Duluth Denfeld 104-72 on Tuesday afternoon, claiming the first win in the Greyhounds' new pool at Ordean East Middle School.

The Duluth East team of Linnea Mead, Meghan Zwak, Kelly Punkyo, and Cora Knauss combined to win the first-ever varsity race in the new pool. Those four took first place in the 200-yard medley relay, finishing in a time of 2:05.89.

The first individual to win a race in the new pool was Duluth East's Grace Knauss, who won the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:21.21.

Duluth East and Duluth Denfeld will meet again this season, with that coming at the Hunters' new pool at Lincoln Park Middle School.
