Hermantown, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Hermantown football team ousted Moose Lake-Willow River 25-24 on Thursday night at Corey Veech Memorial Field to end the Rebels 62-game winning streak that dates back to the 2006 season.

After blowing a 20-point lead a year ago, the Hawks made sure that wasn't the case this fall. For the Rebels, it's their loss since losing 15-0 against Cherry in 2006.

Hermantown (1-0) will head to Proctor next week while ML-WR (0-1) will host Esko.
