Hawks Get Past Eskomos, Hilltoppers Fall in Playoffs

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Hermantown senior forward Hailey Hoff scored halfway through the first overtime to launch the Hawks over Esko 1-0 while Grand Rapids ousted Duluth Marshall 4-3 in section 7A playoff action on Saturday.

Hoff was the lone goal-scorer as the Hawks held off Esko to advance to Tuesday's semi-final against Proctor. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m.

On the boys' side, Duluth Marshall and Grand Rapids were back and forth in a scoring battle but the Thunderhawks snuck past the Hilltoppers, 4-3 in overtime. Grand Rapids will face Chisago Lakes on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
