Hawks Top 'Jacks, Hunters Beat Rails

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) ---The Hermantown girls' soccer team used a two-goal second half to beat Cloquet, 3-1 while Denfeld added two goals of their own in the second half to cruise past Proctor 3-1 in high school soccer action Thursday.

Madison Danelski got Hermantown on the board in the first half to put the Hawks up 1-0. Hailey Hoff scored on a penalty kick in the second half for the Hawks, and Alyssa Siljendahl scored just five minutes later to make it 3-0.

Cloquet's Mikalya Baker scored a goal late, but the Lumberjacks fell 3-1 to the Hawks.

In Proctor, the Rails and Hunters were tied at one a piece at halftime before Denfeld put away two more goals en route to the win, 3-1.
