St. Paul (Northland's NewsCenter) - In a wild Class A semifinal in the MN Boys State Hockey Tournament, Hermantown defeated Hibbing-Chisholm 6-4. The win advances the Hawks to the Class A championship game for the second straight year and third time in the last five seasons.

The Hawks held a 4-1 lead late in second period, when Hibbing-Chisholm's Adam Johnson rallied with a natural hat-trick, or three unanswered goals to tie the game. Hermantown's Andrew Mattson answered with the game-winner, on a Hawk power play. Jared Kolquist added an empty-net goal with under a minute left in the game.

Hermantown's Garrett Skrbich had two goals and an assist. Hermantown goalie Connor Lucas made 13 saves, while Nathan Tromp had 23 saves for Hibbing-Chisholm.
