Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Duluth Marshall senior Joey Kronzer needed three sets on Wednesday, but he wound up with the Section 7A boy's tennis championship for the second consecutive season.

Kronzer beat Cook County senior David Bergstrom to earn a trip to the Class A individual state tournament, that coming just days after Duluth Marshall earned a berth in the team category.

Bergstrom finishes as the Section 7A runner-up for the second straight season, but with that second-place finish also advances to the state tournament.

Aitkin's Alex Anderson and Dan Klucas, meanwhile, won the Section 7A boy's doubles championship in straight sets over Virginia's Blair Seitz and Marc Kresbach.

That marked the first-ever section championship in program history for Aitkin, and both those double pairings will play at the Class A doubles state tournament.

The 2012 MSHSL boy's tennis tournament runs June 5-8 at the Reed Sweatt Center in Minneapolis.
