Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Duluth Marshall boys' hockey team is planning to honor the 1966 Duluth Cathedral team this Saturday, and this year's guys will do that by wearing retro-designed uniforms meant to replicate those of the mid-1960s.

The 1966 Duluth Cathedral team was part of five consecutive private school championships from 1965-69, and it also snapped in 1966 International Falls' 59-game winning streak with a 3-2 overtime win that will also be commemorated this weekend.

"We feel it's a good way to bridge the gap and to show the players from the 1960s that we still care," head coach Brendan Flaherty said. "This is one great way to show the guys that we remember them and that we're going to honor them."

The jerseys will be worn by Duluth Marshall in the Dec. 14 game against International Falls, with that game set to start at 3:00 p.m. at Mars Lakeview Arena.
