Hoff, Fleissner Lead Local Soccer Signings

(NNCNOW.com) --- Hermantown senior Hailey Hoff and Duluth Denfeld senior Emily Fleissner led a large group of area girls' soccer players to sign a national letter of intent (NLI) on Wednesday, with both making official their plans to attend the University of Minnesota Duluth.

Shattuck-St. Mary's senior and Proctor, Minn. native Zoe Berlinquette was the lone player to sign with a Division I school --- she will play for the University of North Dakota.

Two more locals signed on to play at the Division II level --- Grand Rapids senior Maggie Gibbons for Minnesota Crookston and Duluth Denfeld's Kylie Schaub with Southwest Minnesota State.

The last Northlander to sign an NLI on Wednesday was Esko senior Kadee Karkkainen, who will play for Culver-Stockton in the NAIA.

Below is a full list of area girls' soccer players to sign a national letter of intent on Wednesday, plus one out-of-area player who signed on with UMD.

Anna Morrison (White Bear Lake) --- Minnesota Duluth
Maggie Gibbons (Grand Rapids) --- Minnesota Crookston

Kadee Karkinnen (Esko) --- Culver-Stockton
