Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Frank Huie won't necessarily be a new face on the Duluth Denfeld football sideline this season, but he won't necessarily be an old face either.

Huie is back with the Hunters' football program after two years away, taking over the head coaching job this season for Chris Vold.

"I'm absolutely excited to be back on the football field," Huie said. "I couldn't wait for this time to come. When I got the job in March, the first thing I thought of was coming out here and the first day of hitting."

The new, yet old, head coach at Duluth Denfeld said he's happy with what the team has shown him thus far.

"I'm pleased with the effort, and I'm very pleased with the speed of the team," Huie said. "I think kids are working very hard. It's only the first day of hitting, so we'll know if we're a football team by the end of this week."

The Hunters turned in a (2-7) overall record in 2011, and this season the team opens on the road to Monticello on August 30.
