IFalls' Fluharty Third at State in Long Jump

St. Paul, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- International Falls senior Madeline Fluharty finished in third place on Friday afternoon in the girls' long jump at the MSHSL Class A track and field championships on the campus of Hamline University in St. Paul, Minn.

Fluharty turned in a leap of 16 feet, 11.50 inches in the finals, falling just short of the winning mark of 17 feet, 2.75 inches by Warroad's Deidre Hahn.

The MSHSL track and field championships will continue with day two on Saturday on the Hamline University campus.
