Kiminski, Marvel Lead Local XC Runners at State

Northfield, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Esko junior Kailee Kiminski led all runners from the Northland at Saturday's state cross country meet with an 8th place finish in the Class A event which featured over 600 runners in all at St. Olaf College.

Erika Fox of Carlton came in 16th place while International Falls freshman Lexi Erickson crossed the line in 30th overall. On the team side, the Broncos came in 15th place while South Ridge finished in 16th.

On the boys' side, Mesabi East led the way in 16th place with Jude Severson of Crosby-Ironton just behind him in 18th place and Zach Smith of Proctor in 45th. The Rangers finished 9th as a team and the Rails finished in 12th.

In girls' Class AA, Erin Baker of Grand Rapids finished in 82nd place overall with freshman Anja Maijala of Cloquet just behind her in 84th overall.

In the boys' AA race, Dylan Marvel led the Lumberjacks in 42nd place overall with his teammate Issac Boedigheimer just five seconds back in 44th place. Cloquet came in ninth place as a team.
