Kronzer, Bergstrom Ousted in Class A Singles

Minneapolis, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Duluth Marshall's Joey Kronzer and Cook County's David Bergstrom were both ousted on Thursday in the MSHSL Class A boy's state tennis tournament.

Kronzer, the champion of Section 7A, first defeated Fergus Falls' Jesse Schneeberger in the opening round before falling in three sets to Logan Engelstad of Thief River Falls.

Bergstrom, the runner-up in Section 7A, dropped his opening round match in two sets to Myles Tang of Breck.

The Vikings' senior then moved to the Class A consolation bracket, where he defeated Jake Anderson of Fergus Falls in straight sets. Bergstrom will now play in the consolation semifinals on June 8 at 8:00 a.m.
