Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Lakeview Christian Academy senior guard Anders Broman has given a verbal commitment to play basketball for Division I South Dakota State University, he confirmed to the Northland's NewsCenter on Sunday night.

The decision comes before Broman's senior season starts with the Lions, a team he helped make its first-ever appearance in the MSHSL boy's basketball tournament last year.

Broman own several scoring records across the region and state, including last year setting a new Minnesota single-season scoring mark.

His junior season also saw Broman become the fastest player in state history to eclipse 3,000 career points, and his 3,834 career points are second only to the 4,086 of Kevin Noreen.
