Lightning's Season Ends in State Consolation Round

St. Paul, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The Grand Rapids-Greenway girl's hockey team saw its season end on Friday with a 2-1 loss to Mounds View in the MSHSL Class AA state consolation round.

Molly Illikainen scored the lone Lightning goal late in the third period, and Sydney Helmbrecht made 28 saves in the losing effort.

The Lightning end their season with an overall record of (18-9-3) and as champions of Section 7AA.
