Hibbing, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Several Northlanders had a chance at qualifying for the MSHSL Class AA tournament on Wednesday at the Section 7AA boys' tennis tournament, but all narrowly missed on advancing.

Grand Rapids' Austin Stefanich ended up third in the singles bracket, falling to Princeton's Isaiah Mayerchak in the third place match.

Hibbing's double pairing of Adam Johnson and Cole Schafer took third in the double bracket, beating Peder Norr and Michael Laliberte of Duluth East in the third place match.

The top two finishers in both the singles and doubles bracket advance to state, so there will be no Northland representative at this year's MSHSL Class AA tournament.
