Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The Moose Lake-Willow River Rebels earned their sixth straight trip to the MSHSL state tournament on Thursday night, just hours after the Deer River Warriors were denied their 12th overall state berth.
The Rebels beat the Two Harbors Agates 48-7 in the Section 7AA championship game, earning their eighth overall trip to the state tournament.
The Warriors, meanwhile, fell 36-21 to the Braham Bombers in the Section 7A championship game.
In 9-man football, Bigfork handed North Woods its first loss of the season with a 27-26 win in the Section 7 championship game on Thursday night.
