Minnesota Boy's Hockey Teams Open Practice

Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Monday marked the opening day of official practice for boy's hockey teams across the state of Minnesota.

The Duluth Denfeld Hunters, ranked 12th in the preseason polls, saw about 40 players turn out on Monday for head coach Kevin Smalley.

Head coach Mike Randolph and the Duluth East Greyhounds, meanwhile, are ranked 2nd in the state's preseason polling.

The Northland's NewsCenter will air several live high school hockey games this winter on the My 9 Sports Network, the first coming November 29 between Duluth Marshall and Hermantown.
