Cloquet, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Proctor-Hermantown girls' hockey team avenged last season's loss in the Section 7A championship and got past Hibbing-Chisholm 5-3 on Friday night to earn a berth in next week's state tournament.

Mirage captain senior Reilly Fawcett put her team up by a goal in the first period. Hibbing-Chisholm's Val Gooden tied it up in the second before Brielle Larson made it 2-1 in favor of the Mirage.

Larson added another one in the second along with Mikayla Kero. Raini Heyblom and Mallorie Iozzo cut the lead to 4-3 but Sophie McGovern sealed the deal with an empty-netter.

The Mirage will play in the state tournament for the first time since 2010.
