Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Phil Beaulieu and Ryan Peterson each scored goals for the No. 7 Duluth East boys' hockey team, but fell just short as No. 5 Elk River-Zimmerman handed the Greyhounds their first loss of the year 3-2 on Tuesday night.

Each team scored a goal in the first and second periods, but the Elks were the only team to get on the board in the third period.

East (2-1) will face off against Cloquet-Esko-Carlton on Thursday night.
