No. 7 'Hounds Hang on to Beat Lumberjacks

Cloquet, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The No. 7 Duluth East boys' hockey team jumped out to a 3-1 lead and held on to beat rival Cloquet-Esko-Carlton 3-2 on Thursday night at the Northwoods Credit Union Arena in Cloquet.

Nick Altmann got the scoring started for the Greyhounds in the first period. His teammate Bryton Lutzka followed suit later in the first to make it 2-0 Duluth East.

Kyle Klatt made it a one-goal game for the Lumberjacks in the second period, but Auston Crist re-direction at the end of the second was the difference in this one.

Duluth East (3-1) faces Centennial next Tuesday while CEC (2-2-1) plays Hopkins on Saturday.
