(NNCNOW.com) --- The second-ranked Hermantown boys' hockey team used an offensive outpouring to beat No. 9 Thief River Falls while No. 7 Duluth Marshall ousted Class AA and No. 14 Grand Rapids on Friday night.
The Hawks and Prowlers were tied at one a piece early in the second before Hermantown scored three unanswered goals to make it 4-1. They went on to win it, 7-2.
In Duluth, the Hilltoppers and Hawks were tied at four a piece in a wide-open game before Marshall scored the final two games to hand Grand Rapids its first loss of the season.
