Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) -- The Northshore Varsity and Junior Varsity Rugby Squads have qualified to the semi-finals in their Minnesota High School State Tournament.
The Varsity squad defeated the Southside of Minneapolis in a quarter final match on Sunday.
Northshore previously won the tier 2 championship in 2009 and 2010.
The match up between the two teams mark the first in the club's 10 year history.
The semi-final match for the Varsity squad is slated to start on June 9 in Blaine, where they will take on Minnetonka.
The Junior Varsiry squad will face Edina on the same day.
