Madison, WI (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The Northwestern Tigers were the top Northland finisher in the 2012 WIAA state boy's golf tournament, ending up fifth in Division 2.
The Tigers shot a two-day total of 682 to finish in fifth place, led by the 17-over-par performance of Gabe Dinkel.
The Superior Spartans, meanwhile, finished 15th in the Division 1 tournament, firing a two-day total of 684.
Superior was led by freshman Daniel Burger, who finished with a 23-over-par 167 in the two-round event.
