Maple, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- The Northwestern football team has beaten Ashland in each of the past six seasons, but that doesn't make this year's Tigers any less excited to renew what's become a very traditional rivalry of two schools along Wisconsin's Highway 2.
"I expect them to be ready," Tigers head coach Dennis Scherz said. "I know they've got a new coach and are working on bringing that tradition back. Every year, we know we're going to have a physical game."
Northwestern opens its 2014 season at home against the Oredockers, with that game scheduled for Aug. 22 at 7:00 p.m.
