Northwestern sweeps cross country titles

In high school cross country on Tuesday, the Heart O' North meet was held in Ladysmith. It proved to be a banner day for the Northwestern Tigers.

The Tigers won both the boys and girls team titles at the meet. in the boys race, Ryan Lind and Mason Lombard finished second and third respectively for Northwestern. Hayward finished third in the team competition. Louis Ostrander finished fifth to lead the Hurricanes. Denver Quennett placed 27th overall for Spooner, who did not have enough runners to qualify.

In the girls team results, Northwestern took the top spot, followed by Hayward, and Spooner who finished second and third respectively. Northwestern's Olivia Amber was the top Northlander, as she finished third, followed behind by her teammate Jordan Johnson. Chelsea Tremblay of Hayward was sixth, while Spooner's Iciar Ocariz was eighth.
