Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Nate Pionk scored three goals and added an assist on Wednesday night to lead the Hermantown boys' hockey team to a 6-2 win over Duluth Marshall in the Section 7A championship at AMSOIL Arena.

The win means Hermantown will be in the MSHSL Class A tournament for a fifth straight season, with all four previous trips ending in a runner-up finish for the Hawks.

Ryan Kero scored two goals in the winning effort for the Hawks, including a late empty-netter, and Scott Wasbotten also got on the score sheet for Hermantown.

Luke Pavelich and Jon Hansen were the goal scorers for Duluth Marshall, which was seeking a third straight trip to the state tournament.

Seeding for the MSHSL Class A tournament will be announced on Saturday, so that's when Hermantown will learn its quarterfinal opponent.
