Poehlings, Panthers Edge 'Hounds in OT

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Nick Poehling scored two goals, one of them in overtime, on Thursday night as the No. 1 Lakeville North boys' hockey team earned a hard-fought 3-2 victory over No. 7 Duluth East at the Heritage Sports Center.

The Panthers took a 2-0 lead midway through the first period after goals from Poehling and his twin brother Jack, but Duluth East pulled even before the intermission with two goals from Phil Beaulieu.

Gunnar Howg made 23 saves in the game for Duluth East to take the loss, while Jake Oettinger finished with 22 saves for Lakeville North in the win.
