St. Paul, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Proctor-Hermantown sophomore Sophie McGovern scored two goals, but it wasn't enough for the fourth-seeded Mirage as they fell 5-2 to fifth-seeded St. Paul United on Wednesday night in the state quarterfinals.

St. Paul United jumped out to two-goal lead before McGovern cut the deficit in half in the second period. She added another in the third to make it a 3-2 game before St Paul United netted two more in the final frame.

Senior Kylie Hommerding finished with 16 saves in net for the Mirage. Proctor-Hermantown outshot St. Paul United 26-21.

Proctor-Hermantown beat Litchfield-Dassel-Cokato on Thursday 4-1 to advance to the consolation championship on Saturday at Ridder Arena on the University of Minnesota campus.
