Rails, 'Jacks to Play for Section 7AA Title

Hermantown, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The Proctor and Cloquet baseball teams will play for the Section 7AA championship, that after both were winners on Tuesday afternoon.

The Rails first beat Hermantown 9-0 to advance as the unbeaten team to the title round. The tournament is double-elimination, so Cloquet must beat Proctor twice to earn a trip to the state tournament.

The Lumberjacks, meanwhile, beat Mora 6-1 and Hermantown 2-0 to advance to the championship. Cloquet lost earlier in the section playoffs, so Proctor needs only one win to advance to state.

The section title game will be played at 5:00 p.m. on June 7 in Hermantown, with a second game to immediately follow if necessary.
