Rudolph Retires as 'Hounds Baseball Coach

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- John Rudolph has retired as head baseball coach of the Duluth East Greyhounds after 14 seasons behind the bench, it was officially announced on Monday.

Rudolph has been head coach of the team since 2001 and led the Greyhounds to the state tournament in 2004 and 2007, but he says he wants to be able to spend more time with his family moving forward.

This year's Duluth East team had an overall record of (17-8) and reached the Section 7AA championship game.

Rudolph does plan to continue teaching biology and chemistry at Duluth East.
