Superior, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- Superior senior forward Jessica Lindstrom was not named on Thursday night the ESPN Wisconsin girls' basketball player of the year, with that award instead going to Arike Ogunbowale of Divine Savior Holy Angels.

Lindstrom was one of three finalists for the award, that after she averaged 21.2 points and 16.9 rebounds per game this year while leading the Spartans to a runner-up finish in the WIAA Division 1 tournament.

The outgoing senior, who was named this past winter the state's top post player by the Wisconsin Sports Network, has committed to play Division I basketball at UW-Green Bay and will start as a freshman next fall.
