Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Duluth East boys' hockey team has several players on its roster with experience at the state tournament, but the Greyhounds also have a handful of players that have never played a game at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn.

Junior goaltender Gunnar Howg, the presumed starter for Thursday's quarterfinal game, is one of those newbies and is excited for his first trip to state.

"It's going to be crazy," Howg said. "There's going to be a lot of people there, and it's going to be different than anything I've ever experienced. I'm really looking forward to it."

Duluth East will play its quarterfinal game on Thursday against Eagan, with that game scheduled to start at 8:00 p.m.
