Spartan Boys Making Back-to-Back State Tourney Trips

Wausau, WI (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The Superior boys golf team will be making back-to-back state tournament appearances, after finishing second in the Wausau sectional on Tuesday.

The Spartans shot a team score of 336, finishing second only to Hudson in the eight-team sectional meet.

This marks the first time a Superior boys golf team has made back-to-back state tournament trips, and the fifth overall appearance for the program.

Junior Chris Rochon led the Spartans with an individual score of 81, and Superior will now compete in the state meet on June 6 and 7 in Madison.
