Superior, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- After what could be termed a tumultuous regular season, the Superior boys' hockey team has put together a run in the playoffs and will play Thursday in the program's 12th WIAA tournament in the past 13 seasons.

"We're a Jekyll and Hyde, and that's kind of been the whole season," head coach Jason Kalin said. "Lately the boys have really put it together, and hopefully we're playing our best hockey at the right time."

Superior will open the WIAA tournament on Thursday with a quarterfinal game against Verona, with that contest set to start at 12:00 p.m. at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wis.
