Spartans Take WIAA Regional Title

New Richmond, WI (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The Superior boy's golf team needed more than the alotted 18 holes on Wednesday, but the Spartans walked away with a WIAA regional championship.

Superior beat River Falls in a playoff after both squads shot a team score of 323, and now five Spartans are advancing to the sectional meet next week.

Below are listed the championship team members from Superior and their respective scores from Wednesday's meet in New Richmond.

Blake Johnson - 80
Nolan Holcombe - 80
Chris Rochon - 81
Daniel Burger - 82
Spencer Sitek - 86
