Superior, WI (Northland's NewsCenter) -- Summer vacation is over for many area Wisconsin high school athletes.
Fall practices started Monday in several sports, including High School Girls Golf, High School Boys Soccer, and football teams were able to hand out equiptment and do testing.
Superior was 3-6 overall a year ago and will open two weeks from Friday against Rhinelander.
The team has around 80 players trying out for the team and will hold a first-time scrimmage Saturday night, under the lights at Ole Haugsrud Field at 7 p.m.
Spartans Football Coach, Bob DeMeyer, is looking forward to the upcoming season.
