Superior, Cloquet Win LSC Championships

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- With temperatures into the 70s on Thursday afternoon, over 150 varsity runners competed at the Lake Superior Conference (LSC) cross country championships at the Far Par Golf Course.

The Superior girls and Cloquet boys took home the team titles on an unseasonably warm afternoon. Anja Maijala of Cloquet was the fastest female with a time of 15 minutes, 10 seconds with Harley Kinney of Ashland in second and Riley Pohl of Duluth Denfeld in second.

On the boys side, it was a trio of Lumberjack runners to claim the top three spots. Dylan Marvel edged out his teammate Jace Anderson by two-tenths to take the crown. Cloquet freshman Isaac Boedigheimer came in third.
