Superior, WI (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Superior senior defenseman Brett Bukowski has been named one of 20 skaters for Team Wisconsin in next week's Minnesota National Invitational Tournament (NIT).

The annual tournament is a collection of some of the best hockey players in Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, Michigan, and Massachusetts.

Bukowski was a first-team all-state selection in his senior season, helping lead the Spartans to the WIAA tournament for the 34th time in program history.

He was also named a top 10 finalist for the Mr. Hockey award in Wisconsin, given each year to the state's top senior player.

Team Wisconsin will open round robin play on April 20, with the championship round to be played on April 22.
