Talarico Leads Hunters over Blue Devils in 7A Quarters

Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The Duluth Denfeld boy's hockey team advanced to the Section 7A quarterfinals on Thursday night with a 5-1 win over Virginia-Mountain Iron-Buhl.

Levi Talarico scored the Hunters' final three goals to seal the victory, and Zach Thompson made 30 saves in the game for Duluth Denfeld.

Nick Blaeser scored the lone goal for the Blue Devils, who finish the season with a (12-13-1) overall record.

The Hunters will now face Duluth Marshall in the Section 7A semifinals, with that game scheduled for February 25 at 1:00 p.m. in Hibbing.

BLUEJACKETS, BRONCOS ALSO ADVANCE IN SECTION 7A

The Hibbing-Chisholm and International Falls boy's hockey teams were also winners on Thursday night in the Section 7A quarterfinals, meaning those two teams will meet in the other semifinal game.

The Bluejackets knocked off Two Harbors 12-1 on Thursday night and the Broncos were 6-1 winners over Greenway.
