Timberwolves Win Two, One Away from Title Game

Hermantown, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The Ely baseball team got two steps closer to a Section 7A championship on Thursday, beating South Ridge 5-0 and Floodwood 4-2.

The Timberwolves will now play Deer River on June 5 in the now double-elimination tournament, with a spot in the section title game on the line.

That game will be played at 2:00 p.m. in Hibbing on June 5, with Mesabi East and Floodwood playing at 4:30 p.m. to round out the remaining group of four teams.
