Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The Greenway-Nashwauk-Keewatin Titans held on to win the Section 7AAA championship 14-7 over the Cloquet Lumberjacks, but not without some excitement.

Cloquet drove inside the Titans 10-yard line in the last minute and threw three passes into the end zone trying for the tying score, but couldn't come up with a catch.

It is the first state berth for the Titans since the Greenway and Nashwauk-Keewatin schools combined for the sport of football. Greenway had gone only once prior, in the year 2001.

In other games around the area, Hermantown fell 40-24 to Bemidji in the Section 7AAAA championship while Silver Bay beat McGregor 37-34 to take home the Section 5 9-man title.
