Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Cam McClure scored the game-winning goal in the second period on Wednesday night as the Duluth Marshall boys' hockey team beat Duluth Denfeld 3-2 at AMSOIL Arena to claim the Section 7A championship.

The Hilltoppers never trailed in the contest, also getting goals from Matthew Klassen and Kris McKinzie in the winning effort.

The real star of the game, though, may have been goaltender Caden Flaherty. He made 29 saves, many of them from close range, to help Duluth Marshall repeat as Section 7A champions.

Duluth Denfeld got goals from Levi Talarico and Reid Lemker in the loss, with Zach Thompson making 27 saves in goal.

The Hilltoppers are now off to the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) Class A tournament, with seeding expected to happen sometime this weekend.
