'Toppers Edge Hunters, Win Section 7A Title

Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Payton Rengel scored the game-winning goal midway through the second half as the Duluth Marshall boys' soccer team beat Duluth Denfeld 2-1 on Thursday night in the Section 7A championship.

Thomas Welinski gave the Hilltoppers a 1-0 lead at halftime, but J.D. Foldesi tallied the equalizer for the Hunters less than three minutes into teh second half.

This will be the first trip to the MSHSL Class A tournament for Duluth Marshall since 2007, when the Hilltoppers won the state championship.
