'Toppers, Hunters to Meet in 7A Boys' Soccer Final

Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- It will be a matchup of the top two seeds in the Section 7A boys' soccer championship, with both #1-seed Duluth Marshall and #2-seed Duluth Denfeld winning semifinal games on Tuesday evening.

The Hilltoppers beat Chisago Lakes 4-2 after falling behind by two goals in the first 10 minutes, and the Hunters needed a shootout to knock off Grand Rapids by a 2-1 final score.

In their one and only meeting during the regular season, the two teams played evenly throughout overtime and settled for a 3-3 tie.

The Section 7A boys' soccer championship is set for October 18 at Public Schools Stadium, with kickoff set for 8:00 p.m.
