(NNCNOW.com) --- The No. 5 Duluth Marshall boys' hockey team used a scoring frenzy in the second period en route to beating No. 18 Hibbing-Chisholm 7-3 while the No. 17 Duluth Denfeld rallied to beat Superior 5-2 on Tuesday night.
The Hilltoppers and Bluestreaks were tied at 1-1 after the first period before Marshall jumped out to a 5-1 lead. Hibbing-Chisholm clawed their way back into it to make it a two-goal game before the Hilltoppers pulled away.
Across the bridge, the Spartans scored the game's first goal before the Hunters caught fire. With the win, Denfeld improves to (9-8-1).
