Grand Rapids, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The matchups for Hockey Day Minnesota 2013 have not yet been officially decided, contrary to reports from people close to the team.
Sholom Blake, the co-chair of the Hockey Day 2013 committee, said Friday that the decision as to when the event will take place and what teams will be taking part could happen as late as August.
It had previously been reported that the Grand Rapids boy's hockey team would be taking on defending Class AA state champion Benilde-St. Margaret's, but Sholom denies that report.
The games are set to be played on Lake Pokegama, marking the seventh annual Hockey Day Minnesota and the second to take place in the Northland, with the 2010 celebration being held in Hermantown.
Grand Rapids finished the 2011-12 season with a (19-6) overall record, falling in the Section 7AA quarterfinals to Forest Lake.
