Moose Lake, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) updated their record book over the weekend, placing Josh Cisar's eight goal performance second all-time in state history.

On Saturday, it appeared the Moose Lake senior defenseman had set a new state record with his eight goals in the team's 13-5 win over North Branch, surpassing the seven scored by Eveleth's John Mayasich in 1951.

On Monday, though, the MSHSL updated their web site to include the 1948 performance of Warroad's Max Oshie, who scored 12 goals in a game against Thief River Falls.

The web site also now includes three other seven goal scorers, those being Moose Lake's Michael Unzen, Mankato East's Dan Billiar, and Little Falls' Ben Hanowski.

Cisar is still currently the state's leading scorer this season across both Class A and AA.
