(Northland's NewsCenter) --- The only unbeaten team in Minnesota boy's high school hockey, the Hermantown Hawks, deservedly earned the top seed in the Section 5A playoffs on Thursday morning.

The Hawks will play their first postseason game on February 23 against the winner of a first-round game between #8-seed Mora and #9-seed Moose Lake.

Proctor earned the section's #5 seed and will play #4-seed Sauk Rapids on February 23 to open the Rails' road to the state tournament.

Other first-round games to be played on February 21 include #6-seed Princeton taking on #11-seed Pine City and #7-seed Legacy against #10-seed North Branch.

From there, the winners will take on #2-seed Rogers and #3-seed St. Cloud Cathedral on February 23.

The Section 5A semifinals will be played February 25 at the site of the high seed, and the championship game will be played March 2 at the Heritage Sports Center in Duluth.
