Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Warm temperatures on Friday night gave the first week of September a summer-like feel but that didn't stop teams from across Minnesota and Wisconsin from doing battle in high school football.

Hermantown and Proctor met for their 63rd regular season meeting tonight at Corey Veech Memorial Field. This one was all Hawks though as they shut out the Rails, 28-0 and raised the hammer once again.

For our "12th Man" game of the week, Esko played host to Moose Lake-Willow River at Terry Egerdahl Field in Proctor while the Eskomos wait for their new field to be completed. The Rebels used a first half touchdown to hold off the Eskomos, 8-6 and improve to 2-0 on the season.
