(NNCNOW.com) --- Duluth Denfeld won its first game of the season by routing Duluth East while the Lumberjacks ousted the Rails and both state-ranked Hermantown and Duluth Marshall continued their strong campaigns with wins to headline Friday's action.

The Hunters beat the Greyhounds for the first time since 2004 and also snapped their 19-game skid, 56-12 on a rainy and lightning-delayed game at Public Schools Stadium.

The Lumberjacks built a 10 points lead and hung on to beat the Lumberjacks on the road, 17-10. The No. 10 Hilltoppers cruised by the Warriors 41-7 with No. 10 Hermantown beating up Class AAA No. 8 Aitkin, 32-14.

In Wisconsin, fifth-ranked Menomonie made quick work of the Spartans, 35-12.
